We are going to keep this blog post short and sweet because we know that when it comes to cybersecurity, there is something we usually need to turn off for Facebook to keep our profile secure. There are a few things you can do to keep your privacy under your control, check them out below!
It’s important to have a strong password that is controlled under a password manager (LastPass, Norton, etc.). I know we all want to have easy passwords that we can remember but if it’s easy for you to remember then it is easier to hack, simple as that.
We have talked about it in previous blog posts but in recent updates, Apple introduced App Tracking Transparency. Using this can help limit Facebook tracking but be aware that it doesn’t translate over to other devices such as a laptop.
One last thing you can do is turn off the “Off-Facebook activity” in your Facebook info settings. Companies let Facebook know about when you visit their websites/pages so this will limit that.
Our accounts are hackable and vulnerable to a lot more than we think so it is best to focus on personal security and keep our accounts as safe as possible!
